Welcome to OSAG
The Oklahoma School Assurance Group is an Interlocal Cooperation Act Agency of Oklahoma public schools. OSAG is the largest provider of workers’ compensation services to Oklahoma schools, with each OSAG member school district owning a piece of the organization.
OSAG is unlike other insurance providers. One annual premium is charged to OSAG members for one year of coverage, without change. Individual school district premiums are based on individual district performance. Annual dividends are awarded to qualifying OSAG member districts who maintain good loss control, while loss control seminars are provided annually to all OSAG members at no charge. A monthly safety newsletter is provided to OSAG members, with updates of recent board activity, election activity, and safety recommendations to districts.
OSAG is governed by a five-member board of trustees, each of which serve as superintendent of an OSAG member district. All OSAG trustees are elected by OSAG membership, and serve five-year terms. OSAG has been serving Oklahoma public schools for twenty-three years. OSAG members have accumulated a total savings of $91,047,369 in education dollars during OSAG’s twenty-three years of service. Those savings include $9,714,628 in refunds of premiums paid, premium discounts from standard market premiums, and dividends.
The OSAG mission is “to provide the most efficient and economical workers’ compensation services to Oklahoma public schools.” The OSAG board of trustees and administration strive to uphold this mission, and to provide the very best service to our members at all times.
